Club Service Committee
In contrast to the other committees that focus on the greater Uxbridge community and beyond, this committee attends to the day-to-day administration of the well-being of the club and our members.
Committee members are responsible for ensuring all arrangements are made for our Thursday morning breakfast meetings. The committee is responsible for procuring an interesting speaker to inform, inspire or entertain members during the weekly club meetings. In addition to balancing the budget between members’ dues collected and the funds spent on the operation of the club, this committee plans and arranges club social or recreational activities that promote fellowship among members. These events may take place annually, such as Christmas parties or euchre nights, or may be memorable one-time events such as a dinner event with guest speaker Mark Cullen, or a dinner meeting with an olive oil tasting. This committee also coordinates member care activities including assisting club members in time of need; sending flowers or cards in cases of illness or death of members or their family members, etc.
